I'm applying to law schools this fall so maybe I can offer some thought. LSU's budget cuts are making me not even want to apply. Also, the law school has dropped like 20 spots in ranking.

See if you can get a solid scholarship at a good school. If not, go to LSU.

The same conventional wisdom stated in this thread re: LSU v. TLS could apply to Loyola v. TLS. I had no intentions on leaving the state when I chose between Loyola and Tulane.

I found that having a Tulane JD set me apart with local firms when I started on-campus interviews and summer clerkships. I landed with a large regional firm in its NOLA office.

Tulane's civil law program is very good. If you perform well, a Tulane degree won't hamper your practice in SE LA in the least. Plus, it's a free ride.

My point is the hiring partners come together at Kean Miller, 4 out of the 6 are LSU grads. Two applicants who are both great apply. One is an LSU grad, one is a Tulane. The LSU will get hired. But like I said, she will be fine with either school

Bruh we have a nursing program.

Plus, we don't want to spread ourselves so thin that we're terrible at everything, like some flagships in the region

Tulane grad here.

when I was in school looking at nola firms I would have told you LSU and never look back, for nola or br. However When I started looking at firms outside those two cities I got a lot of looks at non nola/BR firms that just didn't see tulane resumes all that often.
