If we venture north we might flip some docks in there. If you see a white a green sprint, with two depressed and soaking wet guys one of them is probably me.

Weighed in 5 for 8.5lbs.... About 7lbs short of first (15.3) and 4lbs out of the money. Ended up keeping 9 total. Big bass was 5.6lbs.

The water looks good all over, or it did today rain would change that... But it appears that the current was pulling out of the swamp which means that the spillway isn't holding up Verret and Belle River anymore.

Starting to develop an algae bloom already, which seems earlier than I remember.

ETA - hopefully this makes some sense cause I've been up for 30+ hours.

Big stringer wouldn't say where. He did have someone who fished bass pro challenge as his partner though.

With the exception of two small ones caught on senkos, and one early on a hollow body frog the rest of ours were caught on old school soft plastics

Yeah I've got a good bit of meat to show for my trips haha, but nothing to brag about. They've been killing watermelon red brush hogs for me, and spinnerbaits late afternoon

First place (15lbs+) vs what we caught (8.25lbs plus a couple dinks). Tournament rules allow you to access all public waters accessible from the launch. So locking out or travel by boat to where ever is permitted. Ours were caught between Atakapas launch and the Grassy Lake area. He told us they went to Bayou Plaquemine.

That's not where he caught them. 2nd and 3rd were 13lbs and 12lbs. We had 5 to weigh in so I'm satisfied.

Yep, they said 100% chance of rain today.

It's beautiful out here. Not catching many fish though.
