Making an evening run. Going to see how the lake is with all this wind. Might end up staying on bayou corne side. I've caught a mess of sacs in margarite a few times. We shall see.

Hopefully the warm weather is here to stay. Should be perfect timing for my cousins bachelor party in two weeks to hit up the bream.

Good luck country, give us a report.

Hmmm, I was thinking about pulling the boat over there Thursday. Not sure what to do now, go there or stay around the camp in pigeon.

Atchafalaya is 5.5' at MC and rising... I'd go to Verret, but if you have a camp there you probably know it better than me.

Verret is the option with the best chances, no way I'd go out in the spillway right now. Just wondering if I can hit em up enough in Grand river to be satisfied or just bite the bullet and drag the boat over to Verret

We didn't try crickets. Just tube jigs and every bass lure you could think of. Even the crazy shite I thought I'd never use. Crawlers or crickets aughta find something slipping up. Didn't really see any dirty water.

ETA: launched at bayou corne

I bass fish on Verret, it's been real tough... I did catch a nice bream bass fishing in the canals off Grassy Lake this past weekend, had several bites that felt like bream. Hope that helps.. Good luck

Scouting for a work tournament next week. Wind was terrible, water was choppy and no clear water anywhere. Ran from Atakapas south, caught 5 and a goggle eye on soft plastics. Lost, I mean shook off, a 2-3lber at the boat on a naked rage. 4 out of the 5 still had eggs, water temp started at 68 and warmed up to 75.

For you bream fisherman the catapillars are starting to get on the trees.

I'll be on graveyard island tomorrow. The wife's aunt and uncle have been catching 3+ pounders across the street from their camp off the bank. Might have some luck there.
