Went last Friday. Water temp was in the low 70's if I remember correctly. Caught 9 keeper bluegills. Still a little early I think. Should be heating up in the next couple weeks

Caught 4 bass, 21 sacalait and a couple chinkapin Saturday morning in the crackhead. shite got slow around 10. The bass weren't anything to brag about but most of the sacs were slabs. Not a trip to brag about but they were half arse biting.

Yeah we went take the boat out to let it run so we cut across the lake. Threw a line out and caught on the second cast. We were just fottin around until we started catching pretty good. Hell I wasn't complaining.

Good luck. I Should be out there next weekend. Caught bass on topwater and spinner and everything on black and chartreuse under a cork. A bunch of little bream. Threw them back though.

It was pretty towards the front of the crackhead. On the way back in we went through little bayou long and grand bayou. Kinda muddy in there.

I wish I had the patience to fish for sacaulait in verret. I always bring the pole but usually just end up tripping over it.

just got back in from Verret...water temp today was 75 in the places I was fishing...crackerhead system...Michelle...caught some bass in the main lake this morning...clearer water was at the back end of the dead end canals...bream were tearing the claws off my chigger craw...they should be about ready...we usually wait until the worms are in the trees...spoke with a retired friend that lives out there he said he was catching bass in the grassy lake area...I was bass fishing...

Looks like I may tote the boat that way this weekend. Spillway at the sorrel locks is still high and rising so not much reason to waste time there

Anyone else been down there? I wasted today in the spillway and got nothing. Gonna try crackerhead and any where else around there tomorrow.

Yeah, that front Thursday seemed to shut em down. I talked to several other people out there and no one was catching anything other than a catfish here and there. Water looked good though.
