Tell them to keep about 4 tied up to the dock. We'll be by sometime Friday. We'll return them after the weigh in.

Tino be prepared for company.

Man some people call certain canals different things I'm not sure where that's at. If it's north of Atakapas we didn't.

It does appear that the water is backing up from the spillway being as high as it is though.

ETA: Ahh think I found what you're talking about.... Yes we did for a very short amount of time the wind was coming right up the gut and was all the trolling motor wanted.

went to a lil honey hole back around Crackerhead...wore the BIG bream out on crickets and ultra-lights and was out of there before the wind got to bad...
ended up with 35 or 40 nice ones...

btw the wind was pushing 20 out of the south when I left...

Headed back down there Thursday thru Sunday for a bachelor party. Weather looks shitty but hope I can get a little fishing in between the rain and whisky.

If you don't hit the brown water too heavy, let me know how the lake water looks tomorrow.

Yeah that's was it looked like water was higher than normal for sure... Usually don't see vegetation floating into the swamp not being pushed by the wind. It would make sense if the Atchafalaya was at 5.5-6' at Morgan City, then it's going to hold up the small flow from the Lake Verret River System.

I work tonight... Get off and drive from St. Gabriel to Verret. Fishing from safelight to 3. Hopefully driving home is a little easier with a check but it's not promising with the projected weather.
