Unlike the typical OT poster (under 6ft tall), curved shaft is much more comfortable for my back and I feel I'm more precise with the curved shaft.

I'm well under. I still don't get it. The torque when you try to turn it is enough. Defective design that should go away.

If you're a run it for 10 minutes a week guy, buying that premixed non ethanol gas they sell at hardware stores isn't a bad thing. That's some good stuff.

I got a cheap arse refurb Ryobi powerhead from that Direct Tools at the outlets. I've run this thing on the premixed stuff for 3 years now and it still starts right up. I use it with a edger, blower, and pruning saw.

I have a 1991 model Shindaiwa T27 that runs great but I can't use the premixed stuff because it takes 25:1 ratio.

Either way I took my older John Deere weedeater to a small engine repair guy to have fixed a few years ago. He told me to throw it in the trash and just buy the cheap arse Ryoboi's. Use the premixed stuff, and when it goes bad just buy a new one. Said with the new non adjustable carbs that they are just throw aways for homeowners.

I have a sthil kombi system.

It combats the not running it enough problem because one motor runs my weedeater, edger, and pole saw.

I like it.

I also have a shindawia weed eater that is 8 years old. I since bought a blower and chainsaw and it is by far the best small engine products I have.

I use strictly aviation fuel an other than change spark and clean out filter no other maintenance is required.

That's my next addition to the family.

I like the pole saw because I use it in the fall and winter trimming around the house, cutting shooting lanes at the deer lease, and cutting brush a couple of times a duck season to spruce up our blinds.

I wouldn't say I run the engine weekly throughout the whole year, but it's damn close.

Neither one of my chainsaws has ever seen ethanol free gas.

How often do you run them? That's the biggest problem with ethanol gas. If it sits, you're screwed. If you run it a few times a week and are constantly putting fresh fuel in it it's not near as bad.

It used to be weekly. Now it's once a month at best. Last time I ran them they had been sitting for about 3 months. No issues.

Engines are built for it now.

Straight Echo

I love the Echo weed eater. I weed eat and edge with it. Corner lot works the hell out of it and it starts right up and is strong enough to edge

I had to have my carb replaced. Shop guy says fuel related. Runs better now than it ever did.

Went with the Echo Pas system myself... I like it. Has enough power for my yard.
Have the pole saw, the edger and weed water head.
