They are definitely worthy players, but I would be pissed if we moved up to get one of those players with the other players we can get at our current positions.

Leonard Williams.
And with all these writers thinking we move up to get Mariota or Cooper, why isn't there anything out ther about us moving up to get the best player in the draft, Leonard Williams?
How would yall feel if we moved up to get Williams? He's about the only player I would be ok with trading up for.

Fowler and Williams. That's it.

Williams, only Williams
Fowler will be a good player, but trading up for a "pass rusher" is foolish. You only trade up for dominant every down players. These one dimensional types are being a bit overvalued, though he seems to be one that will develop into a solid do it all OLB. Still, Williams is the only one worth a trade up

Fowler is probably the best balanced all around game of all the "pass rushers"

yeah I was just reading this. I do like him. I just don't think I would trade up for him. unless they think he will be an all-pro type, then don't make that trade. Williams seems to have that potential

we should trade down assuming we didn't trade into top 6.

I'm down for this only if all 3 WR's are gone. I think we can trade back a few spots (if someone wants to trade up with us) and still land Dupree or one of the guard prospects. I don't think trading back too far is wise though.

Another year perhaps.
Just need more pics not less.

None. No game changers. We need players at way too many positions to trade away draft picks.

We don't need more picks we need better players then we have in certain positions.
If out of this draft we land a new starting guard, a number three wide receiver, starting outside linebacker, starting inside linebacker along with a nickel back then I am happy.
Our draft selection staff has been hit and miss with draft picks with more misses in the first two rounds than hits. Perfect draft for me would be:
1: Vic Beasley or Randy Gregory
1: Benardrick McKinney or Jalen Strong
2: Doral Green-Beckham or Denzel Perryman
3: Laken Tomlinson or Maxx Williams
3: Arie Kouandjio or Ifo Ekpre-Olomu

What is everyone's take on Shelton? I liked him going into the Senior Bowl and through the Senior Bowl, but I haven't heard much about him since (other than he's dropping bc of the WRs & OLBers/DEs moving up).

I don't see why he's not getting much pub, but might be a good thing if it means he's available at 13.
His 40 yard is pretty slow I guess, but his bench rep (34), vert (30.5), 3cone (7.99), and 20yrd shuttle (4.65) were all solid numbers.
Had a nice senior year: 93 tackles (53 solo), 16.5 for loss, 9 sacks.

You say we don't need more picks, yet you list 5 starters there. That's 5 players from the draft you want starting on opening day. Yeah we need more picks

40 time for a nose tackle is about as relevant as a condom for a eunuch

I'm hoping the team finds a little patience and doesn't lose picks trying to move up. We need to increase our chances of finding cheap talent to offset the monster contracts we have on the books.
We've played in the FA every year since the current regime has been here and it's been mostly a disastrous event (Grubbs, Lofton, Hawthorne, Bunkley, Jason David, Butler....the jury is still out on Byrd).

It would piss me off if we traded up for anyone. We have our 9 picks and we're set up pretty good to acquire all of our needs and take chances on high upside guys in the late rounds. The only scenario I can think of is if the scouts don't like any of the Guards in rounds 2-3 and they decide that they need Scherff/Collins(b/c we're royally phucked if we draft a bust at Guard). Once the first one goes, then you trade up for the other one. And hopefully they use a 3rd/4th rounder in next years draft to do it.
