Dupree is a minor stretch at 13 IMO

a bigger question is not putting Winston. I have 9 players I'd take before him. Just on pure value I don't think you could pass on him at 13 if those 9 were gone.

I have Scherff quite a bit higher than Collins myself. I put Scherff's chance of availability at 20%ish. Collins I think 60-70% possible.

I respectfully disagree with this. I actually wouldn't be shocked if a team took him in the top 10.

Dont want him in anyway shape or form. I know everybody is going to start crying and fly off the handle when I say this but....He's going to be a bust, he's gonna get his little money continue to frick up and be someone's back up in 5 years time.

I'm not saying Collins is better than Scherff but I believe he would be better for us. He's a workaholic and Sean loves those guys. I would love either but Collins has a slight edge in my book.

Sherff will go at 9 to the Giants. They absolutely love the guy.

I tend to agree. That's why he's not on my list. I'd rather take a chance on a low risk guy in the later rounds if we go QB this year. I just think Winston will be Jamarcus Russell v.2.0 and Mariota will be RG3 v.2.0

Why do y'all think Jameis carries so much risk? He's done all the right things during the draft process, and hasn't gotten into any shenanigans in a very long time.

I dont think his game, on-field antics or leadership were ever in question. At least with the educated.

Realistically at 13:

Beasley, Ray , Dupree , Cooper, scherff, Lael Collins

OLB/DE not deep in draft
CB / WR is deep

I think Collins and Dupree are the only realistic ones available at 13. And value wise, I dont think they are the answer at 13. If we had like the 20th pick, maybe. 13 feels like a reach for them.

No.

Edge players and WR = loaded. CB = extremely weak.

I wouldn't necessarily say the CB class is weak, it's just not top heavy as some years. There are less A's and D's but more B's and C's.

I'm trying to figure out why so many of you don't have Parker on your list at all, much less higher up. Is there something I am missing? Everything I have been reading about him is that he is a great talent. I have even read that if he weren't hurt to start the year then he may even be the #1 WR in this draft.

I understand the Dupree dislike but I disagree with you all. The other OLB's are all pass rushers only. This means they will be 2 down players. Drafting a 2 down player at the top of the draft seems to be a bit of a stretch to me; whereas Dupree is a do it all with freak size/speed combo. He may not be a better pass rusher than the rest; however, he will be damn good and also play the run like a champ. Seems he can even cover the TE fairly well. THIS is what we need up front, not just another Galette

UPDATE: I have bumped Shelton up in my list. He is the one I am coveting the most for the Saints (Williams and Fowler the obvious exceptions... there's no chance they will be there for us). He will instantly make our defense better, and you will see Galette and Jordan's numbers rocket along with the secondary being thankful that he is here. You want better defense? It all starts right here with this guy

I think DVP is a sleeper on this board and if available would be interesting. I think saints probably have him ranked above White.

I agree. I can see him being ranked above as well. I've read the main concern with White is his playing in a spread offense. They traditionally do not translate well into the pros. I still like his talent and size, but I'm starting to really heat up on Parker. Since I don't watch much college ball all my opinions are strictly based on research, so I am still learning about him. He may soon become my number two want with Cooper as 1, though I feel he would be a more needy fit in our offense than Coop

I do think Shelton is a huge get if he were there at 13. Jenkins seems ok, but this guy would come in and dominate at THE most important position of a 3-4 defense. He would open everything up for the other 10 players

Blues, I have changed my list slightly, so note that.

one wonders with the addition of a shelton or another DL DT Type if we go back to more traditional 4 man fronts.

we run more of a hybrid as is, so I don't think we will change much. He will make our 3-4 front out of this world, and then Jenkins can come in for the 4-3 to pair up with him on the inside. I don't think he will drop to us, but there is the chance.
