How can you say he outcoached JJ? I mean really dude? If LSU makes their free throws in the clutch LSU easily wins that game...

Losing does not equal being outcoached

LSU was a team that played some games well, and others they played stupid...

We were going to crap our pants out there at some point, whether it be in the first round or the second, and if we had been lucky enough to make it to the sweet 16, we woulda layed an egg there.

I'm not devastated. LSU displayed who they are. Hopefully next year it won't be like that.

My brother said it was a piccolo. But that was hilarious.

LSU wouldn't have been close enough for that to be us. Missed free throws would have put LSU down by double digits at the end.

You don't get it do you? Proper use of substitutions is a coaching art form. NC St was resting their starters appropriately in the first half while ours were running and jumping out of the gym. Then in the second half we still only went very sparingly to the bench. In the last 7 minutes while their guys were rested we were having Mickey, who played 38 minutes, stepping to the line totally gassed. The rest is history. This game was literally lost in the first half- and it was indeed coaching.

It's FREAKING AMAZING that some of you don't realize that the ability to shoot free throws has SOMETHING to do with coaching and discipline.

Dale Brown's teams couldn't shoot free throws in the clutch. Johnny Jones's teams can't shoot free throws in the clutch.

That is not a coincidence. Oh, but it sure looks like they practice their between the legs tomahawk jams!

Kinda happy it turned out like this. Now Mickey comes back. Next year was our year anyway.

I think the announcers were wrong. They were checking to make sure Hilliard's shot was a 3

I know you don't want to hear this but NC State matched up much better against them. Their front court isn't as talented but they are MUCH stronger and nastier. I am still hesitant to say we would've won today but we deserved the chance to win.

People say this shite, who are you going to substitute? They would've eaten up Malone or Bridgewater. When you play six guys all year, you can't just throw another guy in there. It isn't a video game.

LSU deserves to be exactly where they are. Inconsistent, choke down the stretch etc. I think NC State had a better chance of beating Nova than LSU

Because he actually coached. I know it may seem unfair to cJJ since Jones made no effort to coach, but the other guy still comes out on top.

Trevor Lacy and Cat both played 36+ minutes
...
Lacy played 38 minutes- the same as Jordan Mickey.

Mickey and Martin: 6'8"+, 235 lbs +

guards vs forwards. Guards can run from top of key to top of key on some possessions, forwards run baseline to baseline. And Mickey's 38 minutes was really 39 minutes. He was only out for 30 seconds at most each half. Martin played the full 40. TQ played 39. Hornsby 36.

Abu, one of NC State's best big men played only 29 minutes. Freeman played 20.

I never said they didn't have ANY guys play major minutes. As a whole they played 4 guys off the bench. We played 2. And Malone got a whopping 2 minutes. Their bench had 14 rebounds to our benches 1. Think about that. They got 13 points off the bench. We got 4. Part of it is obviously we don't quite have bench talent just yet. But the other side of it is vs Ark, with Mickey out, we got quality minutes from Epps, Bridgewater and Malone- and won. That's what we needed vs St. JJ rolled the dice and left his starters in. IMO it cost us.
