So it's been a pretty crappy day outside weather wise so I went ahead and watched for the first time Birdman, Whiplash, Foxcatcher, and Nightcrawler. My rankings are:
Whiplash-Awesome movie from start to finish. Music was great, acting was top notch, and story was interesting.10/10
Birdman- I'm not normally into artsy movies like this and parts of the time I was thinking WTF am I watching. But it was interesting and Keaton killed it, plus I always like Norton. 8/10
Nightcrawler- Interesting story and Gyllenhaal plays the creepy weird guy perfectly. Disappointed in the ending though. 7/10
Foxcatcher- Was expecting more out of this movie. I just never really got into it even though I didn't know much about the whole Du Pont story. 5/10

Agreed. TBH I thought it was going to be a pretty even 50/50 of sports and back story but there wasn't many wrestling scenes, and the story line was just a drag.

Whiplash is my favorite movie in a long time, and Nightcrawler is excellent as well.
I've yet to see Foxcatcher and Birdman. I'll probably watch those two tomorrow.

Haven't seen any of these movies yet, thinking about renting whiplash tonight. Drums were my first instrument, and I used to play for five hours a day.

Birdman - 9/10 very good movie, but ending sucked
Nightcrawler - 9/10 very good movie, but not for everyone
Whiplash - 8/10 good movie, didn't engulf me like it has others
Foxcatcher - 5/10 meh, serious pacing issues in this movie
