Adrian Peterson declined a meeting with Minnesota today

It's going to be interesting to see what happens with this. He's obviously trying to make a power move and force Minnesota to cut him. The Vikings say they will not consider releasing him but I'm skeptical of just how giddy teams will be to take on a $13M salary.

If he plays for the Vikings, then I will unconditionally root for him to play well. If he leaves, then I hope he gets hurt immediately and flames out.

Hardy only counts $2.5M against the salary cap. Dallas is in great shape with the cap and have been for a while now

According to Spotrac, Hardy counts for $3.2m agaianst the cap. It's a crazy structured contract though so who knows...
But as of now, Dallas has just $1.58m in cap space, second lowest amount in the NFL. Wouldn't say they are in great shape with the cap as of now. And AP has a cap hit of $15.4m this upcoming season, $15m in 2016, and $17m in 2017. And the Vikings won't cut him, so someone will have to take on that contract.
Unless Dallas does some serious restructuring, which will hurt them down the road, they won't be getting AP.

Right now Carr is due 8m and has a cap hit of 12.7m for 2015
If Dallas cuts him outright his cap hit would be 12.1m in 2015
If they June 1st cut him, his cap hit for 2015 would be 4.7m saving 8m, but he would have a 7.4m cap hit in 2016
If they get a 4m pay cut his cap hit would be 8.7m in 2015 and he would still have 7.4m in dead money for 2016
