You mentioned in a previous thread that you made the maps yourself for your Elite 7 HDI. Can you explain how to do this?

Hey man, easiest way is to search on you tube how to make maps for HDS. click here!
he does some stuff thats wrong and time consuming. follow the video but here are some tips i learned, so for starters draw an area you want to download. for the zoom level i use 18 or 20 but mainly 18 its plenty of enough detail. after that it will download. when you export to KML file export it to the cache folder of the zoom 18 level or whatever zoom level you want. he says to do the keyhole mode but its not needed as you placed the kml file in the zoom folder. after that make ya maps like he said but you will only need to do it for what zoom level you chose. as far as resolution i do 1 thru 16. its very very easy. i have a map im making now of all south la. i also have muiltiple areas made of the coast. any other questions feel free to ask.

no problem, ill have a coatsal La map of coast from texas to ms. made soon, i will hook fellow OB'ers up with it when its done. saves you fellas hundreds of dollars and you have the whole coast on a card. also all the basin as well.

i have all of dularge, dulac, and cocodrie to the coast made already
also on that video he tells you to download zooms 14 thru 20...not needed its images on top of an image. you download one zoom level lets say 18 is what i do. the resolution controls how far you can zoom in and out on your gps. my buddy perfected it im just passing it along now.
