Multiple edits to Wikipedia entries concerning instances of police brutality have been traced back to IP addresses at 1 Police Plaza, the NYPD headquarters in Lower Manhattan, according to a new report from Capital New York. While there is no evidence that police officers themselves are making the edits, the computers in question are part of the NYPD network. Of the more than 15,000 IP addresses linked to the NYPD, at least 85 were used to edit Wikipedia entries, of which "about a dozen" are considered notable, reports Capital.

"frick you, bootlicker!"

"No! frick you, Cpt. Bengal!"

"The Constitution!"

It's Wikipedia.

The entry sounds reasonably no biased.

Who would be more "authoritative" than the police department to make a Wikipedia entry? This isn't the IG's report.

Exactly what I thought.....

The whole point of wiki is to have those knowledgable in the subject to comment on it.

Now if they are twisting the narrative that is a story.

This seems to be smear journalism where they just accurately state that cops are editing and they let the reader assume they are hiding facts.
