Looking to order my first suppressor this week, it's going to be for a rimfire. Just wondering what everyone on the board has and how they like it. I'm curious as to what everyone thinks about the differences between Al, Ti and SS. Is the weight and cost worth it? Leaning towards the Warlock II, but open to all thoughts and comments.

Wait until the Dead Air Mask 22 comes up for order. You can supress anhthing from 5.7 down to 17hm2. The db reduction is supposed to be amazing for the size.

I have a sparrow and really like it. Only advice I would give is to stay away from the cheaper aluminum cans for cleaning purposes. You can drop a SS or Ti in an ultrasonic cleaner where as Aluminum you can't.

Not worried about suppressing multiple calibers, really just .22lr.

The weight on both models is over 5 oz. I was hoping to be well under that.

Screw that, who knows when it will come in. It could be a year before I would get it, there is no telling.

I am interested in the difference between cleaning Al vs SS and Ti. It would be nice just to be able to drop the components in a cleaner and walk away. How do you clean an Al suppressor. I've read about the dip, and I don't think I want to mess with that. It's supposed to be hazardous or something.

You can't put aluminum in the dip or an ultrasonic cleaner. You have to clean it by hand with solvent.

I never really understood the desire for a .22 suppressor. If I'm going to go through all the paperwork, it's going to be at least 9mm.
Can someone enlighten me?

How can you suggest the Mask22? It hasn't been released yet. What do y'all carry at Bowies?

The Sparrow is suppose to be the easiest to clean, and also gets great performance reviews. I went with it for these reasons.

I would go with Sparrow or Spectre 2. Unfortunately, for you, they are too heavy.

it's a more aesthetically pleasing Sparrow. All of dead air's stuff = silencerco products with better looks and certain constructive elements

This is what I'm waiting on now. I've shot one on a P22 and a 10/22. It's pretty nasty. Sounds like a pellet gun. Plus, it can be taken apart for easy cleaning.

Thanks for the suggestion. Went to Jim's at lunch and busted about 10 light suppressors out and handled them all. I checked out a heavier one just to see if weight really mattered. To me it did, so that ruled out anything over 4oz.

Gemtech is the lightest, smallest, cerakoted and is also mag rated. Don't necessarily like that it's a one piece baffle, but I don't think it will be a big deal. I'm going to read up on it some more, but I am leaning that way.
