That 2.5 oz feels amazing hanging off the end of a P22, and the remington thunderbolt 22lr shot 950-1000 FPS.
No subsonic rounds required.
Plus, the smaller diameter allowed me to use the normal iron sights and see over the suppressor.

Yeah, it's a little bitty sucker. Honestly any of the Al cans would probably suit my needs, but this is the smallest so it wins. Multi Caliber doesn't really mean much to me, but this one is mag rated, so that was just a small bonus.
The can in the 6oz range was certainly manageable and I would imagine most people wouldn't be concerned with it, but it's not what I wanted. This really does feel like there is nothing on the end of your barrel. Pretty cool.

I have an AAC Pilot 2. Its extremely lightweight and small. dB reduction is fine for me. I've been using it on a SR22 and it's been a blast. Going to have my 10/22 threaded soon so I can use it on that setup, too. Price was reasonable and its easy to clean.
I don't think you can go wrong with an AAC, Silencerco, Gemtech or any other major manufacturer. Welcome to the suppressor addiction...

This. All 3 are high quality manufacturers. However, I've heard nothing but great reviews of gemtech's customer service, plus I really like their G core line that you can easily take apart and clean.
The GM-22 and GM-45 are able to be taken apart and cleaned.
The sandstorm isn't able to be taken apart, but because it is titanium, I won't have to worry about what type of chemical I drop it in to clean it.

Thompson makes an integrally suppressed 10/22 barrel
quote:
To put it bluntly, if you want your 10/22 to be an amazingly quiet, compact, and discrete package, the Thompson Machine Operative integrally suppressed barrel system is the one for you. Built with a .920” barrel profile just like a stock 10/22 bull barrel, the Operative installed on your rifle will look no different than a standard target model 10/22. It will, however, sound very different. Thanks to its ported design, even with high-velocity, inexpensive, bulk pack ammo, all you will hear when shooting the Operative is your gun’s bolt cycling, and the bullet hitting your target! Unlike most 10/22 integrally suppressed barrels, the baffle stack in the Operative can be quickly and easily removed for cleaning with our included take-down tool for a lifetime of service.
Now they make one for the 10/22 take-down!

Complete rifle - MSRP $1195

Brand new for 2012, and based on our popular Operative C, the Operative TD is a complete integrally-suppressed Ruger 10/22 Take-Down Rifle with no equal. We start with factory-new Ruger 10/22 Take-Down Rifles, and integrally suppress the barrel, the result being one of the most quiet, versatile, compact, and light integrally suppressed rifles on the market. Each rifle is then extensively test fired before it leaves our shop to ensure accuracy and reliability. As with all of our integral suppressors, the monocore baffle stack can be quickly and easily removed for cleaning by the end user.
*Note: Operative TD Delivery Times are subject to availability of the popular 10/22 Take-Down. If you already have a 10/22 Takedown, we offer the Operative TD conversion service on your 10/22 Takedown front end for $850. Email us at sales@thompsonmachine.net for details on sending in your front end for conversion.

videos of people shooting suppressors never do it justice to just how quiet they are

How are you going to accomplish this? I've been thinking about this also.

Integral Arms in central
ETA: Any reputable gunsmith can do it. just need to make damn sure the threads are concentric or you'll get a baffle strike.

I almost pulled the trigger on one of these b/c of the larger diameter and how it looked more like a center fire rifle can. I think they are nice looking. I use my Octane 9 on my 15-22.

Let me get this straight. You send them your Takedown. They modify it with their stuff and send it back to you at the low,low price of $850?
Do you get your barrel back along with all the things they didn't have to use ? Or do they use your stuff and just add a suppressed barrel for almost $900?
Jesus , you can get the whole integrally suppressed 10/22 with custom stock for about a grand.
Seems like they are planning on pocketing some serious money on suckers determined to pay that much for what amounts to a barrel change to an integrally suppressed barrel and a little sanding to fit it.

To the OP I have a Spectre 2 can that I swap between my 10/22's and my Browning Buckmark.
Very quiet with little to no first pop like some, but when cleaning and reassembling you had best ensure the channels are PERFECTLY aligned on each segment. I have been amazed how just having them just a hair off drastically changes POI on rounds at only 50 yds.
With that said I think my next rimfire will be a Sparrow, simply for ease of cleaning and simple design. Might check out Dead Air's .22 can when it comes out as well.

That is the heavier one I looked at. It's just heavier than I want. Like it was suggested earlier, check out the GM-22, it's pretty cool. Only 2 pieces and the coating is supposed to be super slick. You're supposed to be able to clean it with a cloth.
Also, is that $850 with or without the $200 tax stamp? Seems a little high to me.
