How expensive is it for someone in Baton Rouge to travel to NOLA? To West Monroe? To Shreveport?

He isn't doing it to 'hurt' LSU

huh?

hell, all SEC coaches who recruit in LA should be happy it hurts LSU. I sure hope we try to hurt the competition by taking players from their state.

How does LSUs recruiting in The state of Alabama compare to Bamas spending? We may be getting a better return on investment

We recruit based on need, talent, geography, and interest. Possibly in that order. Are there strategies and relationships that do effect the offers, of course, but I would like to think an equally talented player from St Aug will get the offer over a kid from Stone Mountain, even if Georgia has offered. It seems this is how it plays out.

Miles goes into Texas pretty well, this started as a coach at OSU...no diff than Saban at LSU. he recruits there because of relationships and familiarity.

this is a great example of the broken window fallacy. Rather than looking for 1 to 1 comparisons of players "lost" you need to look at the entire roster. Every player, regardless of where is HS is located can only sign with 1 school, so based on what you are saying it "hurts" the teams he didn't sign with. Look at the whole team.
