Cost of Po Boys are getting absurd

ordered a shrimp and oyster to go from Sammys on vets and its $16

when the hell did this happen?

i thought shrimp had the mark up didn't realize oysters were that high right now

I've found it increasingly hard to get a quality oyster poboy these days. It's a really shitty situation after the oil spill.

just hit up a Danny & Clydes. You can get a huge poboy loaded with tons of shrimp for under $10. they aren't as good as the renowned places in nola but it can satisfy in a pinch.

Buffaloe fried oyster app at Ruffinos is still one my goat appetizers.
A poyboy should have became from this somewhere by now.

Shrimp po boy I got at Koz's last Friday was $14 I believe. Little ridiculous. Think it's marked up some during lent?

Oysters have been higher than shrimp for a long time (10+ years). Especially since the oil spill.

I don't eat po-boys that much but $16 for a shrimp po-boy from Liuzza's I thought was a little insane.

I was thinking the other day how Poboys and also soul food were awesome a few years back b/c it was good and cheap. Now they are both really expensive type foods to eat at a restaurant.

That's like $21 a poboy. That seems kind of high. Did yall order fries or something else with it?
