Exactly. If you have ever lived in BR and can't find a single fun thing to do, then I feel sorry for you.

I judge a book by its cover. I just knew Berwick as a place that could also be consider as Morgan City.

Depends on your field. Oil and gas is strong there, but for technology or alot of other fields the market isn't great. Very familiar with Houma, spent the first 30 years of my life there.

And that article is from May last year, when the oilfield was booming. Unfortunately, I don't know if May of this year's numbers are going to look as good.

Who the frick is spending time rating Thibodaux so much that's it's over rated. You may not like it but that's like your opinion man.

People that live in Thibodaux think this place is heaven on earth but its just another Donaldsonville with a college.

Venice better than GI!?

For fishing? GI cant hold a candle to Venice. I mean it literally is not even remotely close.

I grew up in Plaquemines Parish. Belle Chasse is ok but its on the west bank and the west bank fricking sucks. Belle Chasse got bad traffic problems as well.

And considering each place offshore fishes the same areas, it's very comparable fishing

There's an old saying in Louisiana:
"If you aren't having fun in Shreveport, you're not trying hard enough. If you're not having fun in Baton Rouge, you're not trying. If you aren't having fun in New Orleans, you're dead."

Overrated: NOLA French Quarter during Mardi Gras
Underrated: Don't know - Covington?
Most Improved: Baton Rouge

I've been here 8 years and BR has been a better city each year I've been here, and for that I'm grateful. But man, that first year was tough. I'm still ticked off that I spent that first birthday in BR at Fox and Hound listening to the same 8 music videos on continuous repeat though.....
