Most overrated/underrated city in Louisiana?

Overrated: Natchitoches, LA - obscure Northern part of the state
Meat Pies that aren't good
Lame university/campus
Christmas lights get old after 10 minutes.
Underrated: Covington, LA -
Great location near a nice lake
1 hour to BR for an LSU game and 40 mins or so to NOLA.
Beautiful downtown area
Nice shops and restaurants
What is your overrated/underrated city for LA?

Overrated: New Orleans
Underrated: Baton Rouge
ETA: All trolling aside, I think that New Orleans is both overrated & underrated at the same time. I really think the French Quarter area is overrated, while I think the Uptown area is grossly underrated.

But yes, overrated
Can't argue with Covington either.

Gotta disagree with you on Natchitoches. It's the nicest small town in LA.
Underrated: Ruston. Wealthiest town not on the Northshore. I don't love the place, people there have much too high an opinion of themselves, and there are way too many Baptists. But it's underrated.
Overrated: Baton Rouge. It has literally no redeeming qualities besides LSU.

if anything natchitoches, la is underrated.
it has a lot of history for a city of only 10-15,00 people. its isn't really that obscure and youll understand that once you understand the french and spanish settlers that were nearby in texas.
meat pies are okay, its pretty much a chimichanga without as much seasoning.
the lights do get old, but the campus is ok. its not lame but it isnt superb either.
you really do hate the northern part of the state

No one overrates Baton Rouge
In fact, its getting better steadily and continues to be blasted. Yes, it is a congregation of strip malls surrounded by horrendous traffic and capped on the North side by a dangerous ghetto, BUT its downtown and riverfront are improving, it has improved public transportation thanks to Uber, and companies like IBM are putting down roots.
Baton Rouge sucks, but it sucks less than it did 10 years ago and its getting better every day IMO.
Overrated: Grand Isle. I don't even know if people talk highly of it, but its disgusting and there are much better cities to set up fishing camps.
Underrated: Lafayette. Louisianians know what it offers but I have friends from out of state that have never even heard of it.

If you steer clear of the guido douche bars, its a quaint, nice Cajun city. It has good food, cool neighborhoods, and smoking hot women FWIW.
