Pretty bad frick-up. Sadly, someone probably did proof it, but an inexperienced editor reads the sentence for what it should be and not what it is. I'm betting 80% or more of its recipients didn't notice the error.

Whoever sent that is about to be in deep shite. It is NOT public record if you signed or not. So either they don't know who signed and it was a generic mailer, or there is something shady going on.
