Old timers don't think those two guys could even be water boys in their day, when in reality, LeBron is one of the most physically gifted athletes to ever walk on this planet, while Durant is 6'11, handles the ball like a guard and shoots better than anyone on the 1992 team did.

8 games? huh? read my post again. I gave 2 huge 25 game chunks other than just the last 8 games

Steph Curry's FG% has never been below 46% in any given month

50
48
48
46
51

by month

James Harden is a guy that can shoot 45% in the regular season, then shoot 38% in the playoffs and 30% from three. We know this for a fact, because it has happened the last 2 years.

yea, that's no different than anyone else

Pippen on LJ and Magic or MJ on KD.

Another thing is neither one of those guys have a killer instinct, shite KD cant even lead his own team. The dream team were all a bunch of maniacal assassins who broke you down. shite bird would needle up and do whatever to get on the court just to help MJ mind frick them all.

In case you have forgot a year or two ago when there was the big comparison going around of MJ and LJ the majority of the experts and hall of famers all said that not only would MJ take him but that Kobe vs him would be closer. Ill take their word over any of you numnutts.

No one has said that any where in here, both are awesome players and would get theirs but between the bigs for 92 and MJ they would win. Would be a good game but the dream team wins.

Done arguing over what ifs, its obvious that yal never say MJ or pippen play.

Also go look up some of the stories about MJs and Birds shite talking and brain fricking.

Not true.

Peej dug deep into his pride and admitted that Lebron is better than 75% of players from the 80s and 90s.

Durant has 2 inches on Magic and 4 on Jordan, and again, is a great shooter. That would be a mismatch.

Pippen on LeBron: LeBron has about 35 pounds on any weight Pippen ever played at. LeBron is strong as an ox, insanely fast for his size, and like a runaway locomotive when he gets going. He plays at 260 and could back Pippen down in the post pretty much whenever he wants to.

I can see the following response coming from someone: "But that doesn't matter because Pippen was tough and LeBron isn't". Just wait for it.

Someone in this thread argued Pippen (for LeBron at least).

ETA: Yep, it was Greenhead.

Did last season just not happen? He carried that team to the 2nd best record in the West while breaking MJ's consecutive 20+ point games

Pippen on Lebron would work. Magic would lack the athleticism to stay with KD, and Jordan would lack height imo.

There's mismatches both ways. It's beyond ignorant to cry "who can guard MJ?" while ignoring the players who 92 can't check.

well none of this is relevant to anything in this discussion.

Nostalgia. I love it. Players back then just "wanted to win" more, and had the "killer instinct" that apparently no one has anymore.

Sometimes when people say that they could be referring to the playoffs, even then holes can be poked in that argument.

Like I said, yal must have been to young to watch MJ and crew, Pippen was awesome and is getting very over looked. He is under rated bc he happen to play on the same team with the greatest bball player to ever lace up.

He was, but being awesome doesn't make up for giving up 35 pounds to one of the most physically gifted human beings to ever step on a basketball court.

I've watched nearly every meaningful playoff game the Bulls played back then.

One of my favorite things to do during the offseason is fill my DVR with NBATV hardwood classics.

sounds great in theory. If it were that easy, he'd do it every possession currently. That's only a very small part of his game. The only move he has out of a postup is a fade away anyway. It's not the dangerous part of his game.

His best attribute in the post is backing someone down, waiting for the double to come, and kicking out to a wide open shooter. In this hypothetical, he would be on a team full of guys who can nail that wide open shot. That weight advantage also matters when he drives the lane. As great as Pippen was, that would be a really, really difficult matchup for him. LeBron's speed is underrated; the guy can get from baseline to baseline as fast as anyone in the game right now.

Here is my macro philosophy as to why the 2015 team would win.

The 1992 team has some players who are better than some 2015 players and the 2015 has some players who are better than some of the 1992 players. The talent is pretty even no matter which team you think has better players overall.

But the style of offense in 2015 is more efficient than it was in 1992 and the team defense is a LOT better than it was in 1992, regardless of what you think about individual defenders and match-ups.

That gives the edge to the 2015 team and it's why I think they would win.

Barkley on KD. fricking TENACIOUS. Shortest player to ever lead the league in rebounding. He would have KD in tears. Talking smack and pushing him around.

Magic
MJ
Pip
Barkley
The Admiral

Every one of those guys plays multiple positions.

ETA: I think Bron and the 3 ball keeps it close, though.

Lol they make the argument that LJ would post up everybody on the 92 team but when someone mentions Magic posting up a much smaller PG they go ballistic.

False. The Big O is the best PG ever.
