I think I'm being a little misunderstood about Bregman. Or maybe I have a wrong perception of how the world sees him.

I think he's really good. I think he's a decent short stop. He needs to play every day. Is it okay for me to want him to be treated like our other good players?

That's all fine but you also said this.

Anyone who thinks he should be where he is in the lineup based on results is delusional.

That's a bad opinion

There are definitely some undertones there. He's not the only one though. I don't really get it. ie, the guy that just called him "PM's golden boy".

2 season's > 12 games. The guy has earned trust. It's not something that he has just been given. Even if he hasnt lived up to his Freshman season, stats show he has always been our best hitter/player overall.

I forgot what I said this morning...

It was hyperbolic, I admit. But you gave totals as proof he should be there. How many other guys are right there with him in RBIs and extra base hits? And how many plate appearances do they have compared to him? If Fraley was 2/3 all year, would he have much more? Foster? Kade? It's a little skewed with him having the most opportunities.

You can't sit there and honestly say he's not PM's golden boy. He blushes when talking to the media about him.

Yeah...everyone in here thinking we want bregman out of the lineup but refuse to look at what we are actually saying

Move him to the 5 hole for several games...OH NO!!

I still say swap him and Sciv. Or put Sciv in the 4 hole to protect Bregs. If Bregs isn't our hottest hitter, our hottest hitter needs to be right behind him in the lineup. PM likes to change the order a good bit anyway...

He's our highest profile player, so obviously the media asks about him.

Anyway, I seem to remember people bitching on here last year when PM talked negatively about Bregman during that big slump. So not sure what you're talking about.

Three LSU baseball-signed recruits lead Delgado in hitting as the Dolphins move up three places to No. 3 in the NJCAA Division I national rankings, released Wednesday.

Cody Ducote (.433) and Bryce Adams (.432) hold the team lead in hitting, with Cole Freeman (.366) not far behind.

Cody Ducote OF -Reminds me of the Jordan twins when you look at him, a little slimmer build, quicker first step. Hits for a high average but doesn't posses power numbers, gets on base.

Bryce Adams 1B -One I'm most high on, big bodied first sacker. Something Mainieri hasn't had since maybe Matt Clark. Is a free swinger but does have pop to the gaps. If he limits his strikeouts he very well could take over 1B to start next season.

Cole Freeman 2B - You're prototypical infielder will hit for average and does very well in the field. If anything he will be a vital reserve if and when Deichmann and Bryd mature and take over the infield. May also be switched to LF or DH if limited space.

All three are leading the team respectively, a fun group to watch this year.
