Yea Ell, can't back you up on that one bud. Decent is a word you use when something is subpar.

What do those have to do with his play at short stop? Most are 2013. And mostly because of how he hit that year.

Typically JUCO guys will sign for penny and dimes with no college commit pending. However it's understood that every player Mainieri takes it's under the notion the player is set on attending LSU given he isn't selected with a top pick. For this reason there isn't a falling out of JUCO signees annually.

Five years ago Lucas Leblanc an All-American OF out if Delgado was thought to be Leon Landrys replacement but the Red Sox nabbed him in round 11. He was always a draft risk but for reasons outside of basebal (not related to LSU) which I will not get into he signed with Boston.

This is still better than decent, his play at shortstop has been good. He is at LEAST above average. I guess we just agree to disagree.

By decent I mean his play at shortstop has been good. Exactly what you said.

How would you rank him, defense only, for LSU shortstops? For me, He might barely crack the top 5.

Defense only, I would agree. Top 5 or 6 but that is pretty damn good.

2B. I've even heard he could go back to catcher at some point. (He played some there in HS)

2B most likely. Wouldn't be surprised if some team gives him a look at C though.

When we say rank him defense only among LSU shortstops and barely cracking the top 5, are we talking about in LSU history or the 20 or so years we may be old enough to pass judgement on?

Because top 5 for one of those may be "decent", but top 5 in the other would be pretty damn outstanding.
