but he's made more than just one good movie (which is a popular sentiment).

Actually the sentiment is he's made 1 GREAT film, a couple good ones and then exponentially worse garbage films.

Eh, a lot of people hate Signs and nitpick it to death (and it's funny because they are completely reaching with their nitpicks most of the time).

Lots of people don't like Unbreakable, and some even fail to see what it actually is (a completely different take on the superhero movie).

There are also a lot of people here that hate The Village...some say that they knew the ending 20 minutes into the movie (which is awesome), and some just think it sucked anyway regardless of the "twist."

As for Devil, I haven't seen much discussion about it at all, let alone people liking (or hating) it.

The Happening is pretty universally hated and laughed at.

Same with Lady in the Water...somewhat mixed reviews, but most seem to dislike it (I can't comment either way since I haven't seen it).

After Earth is the same way as LitW for me.

So I don't necessarily think the general consensus on here is that he has some "good ones" really. People like to shite on his movies for the most part.

I went in knowing that it was a story he told his kids. Going in knowing it is a contemporary fairy tale made it easier to enjoy for me.

1st half of the Village. The second half was the most ridiculous shite I've ever seen.

The Village was alright, I think it was an interesting premise for sure.

I hated Unbreakable, but I haven't seen it since it came out, so it might deserve a rewatch.
