And you gotta look at how how this affects Buffalo... They were 4th in total D last season WITHOUT Kiko Alonso. He's a good player, sure, but they didn't really hurt without him.

No brainier for Buffalo.

Yeah, the Bills D was stout. I would also assume they are changing schemes and maybe they dont like Alonso there?

I think it's a good deal for Philly, too. Cap space and a capable LB. Wouldnt be shocked if they went after Spiller as a FA now

His huge rookie season was under Mike Pettine which is a Rex Ryan disciple

And how many of those guys were successful with the jets?

im just saying, despite their infatuation with Shonn Greene, i dont think they "like" RBs that run right into the back of the line

Well it's more of a question of fit inside the offense then moreso than their preference

Only question that matters is how much will that go down with the next guy they put in? My guess is not that much. Add the fact that they get a very solid running back and 60m in cap space to play around with for more players it is a great trade for philly IMHO

Based on what? Who is going to run as well as McCoy in the prime of his career that's already on that team?

Kelly believes in his system. Desean Jackson burned him in both games this past season for making that decision and had a good year. Him and Maclin would have been great together.

My guess? McCoy makes him look like a fool this year

Before this trade, didnt Buffalo have like $31m in cap space?

Even with it, they still have enough $$$ in cap space to keep Hughes and address the OL.

QB is a different story, but it's not like they were gonna go sign a big time QB in free agency anyways.

Alonso will more than likely end up being an elite LB for 10 years, but he's also coming off ACL surgery so there's always the chance he won't be as good

I'll take 3-4 more years of Shady at an All-Pro level than a rock solid LB for 10 years. Bills need to win now

I'm rock hard BTW
