I know Seiko's has a following with the folks into watches…looked around and wanted to get a 5, for some reason, this watch caught my eye. I will be putting on a Nato Strap.

Will I regret this watch?

I think it is ugly, but wear what you like!

I like a Seiko myself. Not my favorite brand but whatever

I don't particularly like the scheme on that face though

Ehhhh

I like seiko. I don't like that one though. Too much stuff that I don't know how to use.

Can someone please explain how you use all the measurements on a chronograph. This has always boggled my mind

The 5's are a good budget watch. Not the quality of the SKX's or anything like that, tho.

That's a decent looking watch.

I like the Sea Urchin (also a 5) but it feels cheap compared to my 007.

I like the date, it shows "TUE 17" but below the 17 it has a 16 and above it is an 18. This is a great feature because a person can never have to much information.

When I google "Seiko 5 nato" damn near every watch looks better than the one you posted. Are there a ton of Seiko 5s?

Absolutely not. Nice watch, around $150. There isn't anything to regret. It's got a busy slide rule that nobody knows how to use but that's for looks anyway. The only thing I find puzzling is why show 3 dates with an arrow pointing to the current date? Seems dumb.

So, you know what the day before was, and what the day after is going to be.

Indeed.

The refined Gentleman will always wish to be forewarned with regard to the turn to a new month.

Ergo, the Three Date Display let's one know TODAY that the new month will begin tomorrow.

It's Elementary, my Dear Watson.

Broke,
Just added a 007 to my collection and planned on putting it on a NATO, but actually like the look of the jubilee.

Therefore, I am thinking of getting a Citizen NY2300 (pepsi diver) to wear with the nato as it's a little cheaper.

Any opinion on those?

Great. I never have to worry about you stealing any of my watches.
