Tommy Tucker did a segment earlier about spouses fighting about money, even to the point of physical altercations. He mentioned the "terrible news" out of the Northshore over the weekend, but did not specifically mention this story.

There are a lot of vaginas that are sad on the Northshore, however. That's all I have got so far.

She has not been booked...self defense? ?

It's still being investigated. The investigators will need to see what happened, develop PC, then see what charges they will charge (if there is any PC or charges at all).

Arresting her now and charging her with something that you can't win in court is useless. She called the cops herself and isn't going anywhere. My guess is if charges are filed, they feel quite strongly that she did it, and can prove it.

Sad on a personal level too; I really liked Dr. Breen. He was my wife's OB and without going into too much detail she had to see quite a few physicians over the years and he really cared for his patients. His approach was old school in how he treated people and approached medicine.

Beyond that, on a personal level I don't know much. But as a physician, he was one of the good ones and I know for a fact that my wife considered him a friend and is taking this with a heavy heart. I think there are alot of people right now who are very fearful that he is going to be drug through the mud and painted to be a different man than how he treated so many of his patients through the years.

Short of proving a self defense motive I don't see how she doesn't get charged. My guess is she had a lot to gain financially by his death

Always make sure you're worth much more alive than dead.

I imagine she will get charged with something as well, but the detectives need to figure out what before charging her. Otherwise they'll lose and she will walk with nothing. With a case that will be as high profile as this, I'd think the states attorney's office would feel pretty confident about what they do charge her with when they do charge her....assuming they do charge her.

There are always 2 sides to every story. What if the dirt that comes out is true?

Crazy or not, white surburabn doctors wives don't go around shooting their husbands at 3am for no reason.

Sad stuff for sure, I've known his sons for a long time. Will be interesting to see what they charge her with. From what I know though, she will not get the self-defense defense, or at least shouldn't.

Well you know she is going to crying self defense...it's her word against a dead person. Will have to based on lots of circumstancial evidence like friends and family testifying that she was angry and abusive and volatile.

well its more than words, from what i know there is a little more evidence that should get rid of self defense. not going into details but I dont think she'll win saying it was self defense.

Also from what my wife told me, shes an attorney, La doesnt have the law that other states have that basically will let the abused person off based on a pattern of violence. I'm sure I'm buthering that, but I think thats the gist.

I agree... and I think alot of people are scared of that very thing. I know I am.

That would be my guess and what is being speculated. If that is the case, she and her attorney will paint the ugliest picture of Dr Breen as possible.

For someone who was looked at so positively by so many people, it's just going to break alot of hearts. I feel sad for my wife and people like her. It's someone they trusted and I've had one-on-one conversations with him about my wife, and her care. He told me, "other than your wife and you, I promise you Mr. 4444 there is nobody else who wants your wife to be out of pain more than me." I believed him and he proved it day in, day out with his care. In the end, we knew him as a great physician and that will never change. We just want him to be a great person and a great physician.

When people die we want them to go with a good strong lasting memory and sometimes it's naive but it helps with grief. For personal reasons alone, I just hope something else went down here.

If you want nothing but gossip, just go to the NOLA.com or WDSU articles on facebook. It's filled with hair saloon chatter.

Another factor that's even worse is that they have a young child together. Feel really bad for him as he's lost his father and his mother might be going to jail.

Dr Breen delivered both my sons. I have nothing but respect for him what he did for my family. Don't know how he was behind closed doors but we will always remember him as a wonderful doctor and will be truley missed.

But non-white ones do? Watch Snapped or I D Discovery sometime.
Dirt doesn't matter; unless she was defending herself from imminent harm, it's manslaughter (or worse). LCIW is full of abused women who iced their abuser.
