They are a good home team, but they aren't very good versus .500+ teams. (14-23)

I think they'll lose tonight for a few reasons: 14-23 versus .500+ teams, 14-23 on the road, and it's the second game of a back to back, 5-6 record in those games.

meanwhile, the Pels hold like the 8th best record in the league against those same teams. blows my mind that people would rather see OKC vs. GSW than NOP. OKC doesn't stand a damn chance in hell to win a game. It will be 4 blowouts. At least NOP will put up a fight.

Too bad Monty sucks and can't coach the team to consistent wins over the league's worst. The Pels would already be solidly in the playoffs.

i think OKC goes 5-4 in their last 9 (including tonight). So the Pels need 7-2. I see 2 games on the schedule that look to be likely losses (@Portland and vs. GSW). Can't drop any stupid games, which means they have to beat the lakers and kings on this road trip.

I think the Pels will beat GS. Kerr will be sitting guys.

Yesterday I saw their magic number for the best record was 5 wins. They play 4 more games before us, so if they have any preference of us over OKC there is no reason for them to not throw it.

if the Suns win tonight, I think the Pels will have a solid chance to sneak in.

agreed, but if OKC does win tonight, i don't think it's a breaker in any way. they still have a tough little stretch. their last 4 games are relatively easy, though. they may only drop 1 of their last 4.

i disagree about GSW, though. not sure they sit them v. Pels

All it takes is for Westbrook to play like he did in the first half yesterday for them to lose. They lost to the Jazz, who have been playing well, so don't think they are invincible. These teams they are playing are extremely well coached teams and all in the playoff hunt, don't think they will lay down to the Oklahoma City Westbrooks

We can get within a .5 game of OKC with a win vs the Kings and have them lose against Memphis.

Not sure how much resistance we'll get from the Spurs on that night. Plus, they would probably prefer the Pels over OKC in the playoffs.

Durant and Ibaka are basically done for the year and they just smashed the Thunder by 30+. I think they would rather play them, but I don't think it will factor in anyway.

I agree. I don't think SAS is worried either way, but I'd think in general you'd want the young inexperienced team in the playoffs over the somewhat battle tested group all things being equal. Holiday coming back could make somewhat of a difference in preference if the Pels somehow managed to get all-hands-on-deck for the playoffs.

Regardless, the odds of Pop playing his starters last game of the season on the road is probably slim to none.

A Phoenix loss tonight (and a couple more the following 3) could be huge for the Pels as well. If they were eliminated come the April 10th game, you have to figure it'd be an easier W.

If the Pels can figure out a way to win 2 of the 4 GSW/Hou/Mem/Port games, you have to like their chances.

They have to win at least 2 of those games. You have to figure from here out OKC loses at most 3-4 more games.
