Ghosts of the Southern Wild

Awful but got a lot of undeserved love here because it was a local movie. The little girl's "acting" was limited to reading a script offscreen or monotonous and loud dialogue on screen.

Lulz, no. It won awards all over the world.

I don't hate Whiplash, but the more love it gets the more I dislike it. It's way too cliche and over the top for me.

That's because they were pretty shitty movies.

Unfortunately for the rest of us, the world is filled with morons and those are the 2 top grossing movies of all-time. In fact, if you look at the top 20 it's filled with piece of crap movie after piece of crap movie.

I love Avatar. My particular taste in movies makes me a moron? Wow. You are the worst sort of person that exists.

I hated Inception. Marion Cottilard or however you spell it ruined it for me. I don't get how she keeps getting nominated for Oscars.

I hated Hurt Locker and wanted Avatar to win best picture that year. I only enjoy war movies that glorify it, like Patton or Braveheart. Not movies that show the psychological aspect of it.

I hated DKR because they took his wealth on the dumbest of pretenses. Like the NYSE would allow a trade to stand that occurred during a hijacking of the NSYE floor. I was ready to walk out of the movie then and there.

I hated Pulp Fiction and pretty much any Tarantino movie (Kill Bill was enjoyable though). He is way too gory for me usually, and I hate movies not in chronological order. I walked out of Flags of Our Fathers in the theater for this reason.

I didn't care for Fight Club and its anarchy, anti-capitalism message.

The Thin Red Line is my least favorite movie ever.

I hated Titanic because I have a penis that is attracted to women.

Dude, your taste is terrible. This is the exact place to discuss terrible taste.

The fact that you think Superman is the best superhero along with all of your other thoughts completely makes you a moron in this regard.

Enjoy what you enjoy, but please know - without doubt - that in general everything you like is most likely a piece of crap.

Dark City
Aliens
The Fifth Element

The first two I found decent but vastly overrated, but The Fifth Element is in my top 5 least favorite films.

So if you can broadly generalize can't the "movie snobs?" Again, this board is extremely balanced, certainly overly critical sometimes, but balanced.

believe it to be the worst movie to come out this decade.

Creating so much false anger, you guys are a hoot. Of course it isn't the worst film of the decade, but it's probably Nolan's worst film by a good bit.

not liking Drive

Poor man's remake of Thief.

Avatar. I didn't hate it, but I didn't get all the hype

Made a zillion dollars but plenty of people thought the plot was a horrible remake of Dances With Wolves but it had great 3D effects.

Juno. That movie sucked donkey balls

Don't be hatin Homeskillet!

quote:

Inception

I agree 100%. The snow level was absurd. Felt like a bad Bond film.

quote:

Gravity

Terrible plot. The hallucination sequence was a joke. Avatar 2. Lots of great effects but the execution of the plot was weak at times.

Million dollar baby.

I'll be forced to watch this movie on a loop in hell.

all of them

My work is done here!

Should be noted I didn't hate any of the above other than Million Dollar Baby, just hated certain aspects of the others.

As much as people think I hate everything, I tend to skip movies I think I will hate so I don't see many loved movies that I hated.

ETA: add in your posts about loving Avatar and liking Kill Bill, I think that's pretty much polar opposite of my views
