Interesting.
Bc way I see it our "mobile" qbs have been the Achilles heel of this program for a fricking decade.

LFornette is mobile.
DWilliams is mobile.
TQuinn and Dupree and diarse and travin are all mobile.

Recruit somebody that can make smart decisions and get those guys the ball.
Frick.

not to mention that the most successful QB LSU has had in the last 7 years had the mobility of a mack truck

Oceanman- not particularly, but a question should have to be answered so many times before it becomes redundant. Kelly doesn't have an offer yet he may or may not get one. We offer oos kids to get them to camp. If Kelly outperforms them at camp then he will. This topic has been beaten to death.

No worries at this point on Cole or the other QBs offered. LSU needs two QBs in this class.

I just watched the video on Brandon Peters, the QB from Indiana. Liked him a lot, but pulling a quarterback from that part of the country could be tough.

Les wants him to come to camp to make sure he has the chest

This is sad and so far from the truth. Just because a guy is from LA doesn't mean he's the best player for LSU. Cole is a good prospect and will get to play for a good school. He might not be LSU material (Franks is objectively better), but that doesn't mean he isn't good. To say he's the best in the nation is laughable. Eason is number 1 and I don't even think it's debatable.

Not offering this kid in our own backyard is absolutely ridiculous!!! And I could careless about anyone's opinion lol. If u disagree then I'm happy for you. This kid is much better than Jordan Jefferson ever was. A top 10 pocket passer in the country not LSU material lol. That's funny. Just revisit this kids resume in 3-5 yrs. once again I could care less about anybody else's opinion, and I probly won't read much else on this thread. Have a great day lol

You could care less more than once. So on a chart of caring, that means you do care.

I think it's more about what Les sees as QB material, which has been questionable

Call me Zach Morris because I love Kelly. Keep in mind this is my amatuer opinion but the kid is much better than his ranking. I am not going to say best QB ( although I feel that way) but he is definitely top 5 and to me the Mett 2.0 comparison is perfect.

What I posted on 247.

After watching that video I will upvoting every thread mentioning him.

This video is BOSS! Kid will play on Sundays. I wish I could see his 9 picks. He is a perfect QB for our system.

Throws ball with velocity and pace.
Puts the ball in places only his WR can get to it.
Crisp short passes.
Always leads receivers so they can keep moving.
Can hit any spot on field.
Sells play action and pump fakes like manning.
Tall and can see over line.
Loved his back shoulder throws
Gets weight moving and can be physical
Takes chances and will release the ball
Looks off DBs and is patient with routes.
Believes in his arm.
Look cerebral at line.

Will be better than Mett!!!!

shite what more can we ask for.

My only concerns

He had some delivery issues which can be fixed through technique and mechanics with Cam.
Has Jarrett Lee syndrome and throw off back foot a lot.
Will need to live in Film room.

Without any doubt in my mind he is D1 sec qB material. Could damn near compete in 16. Will go to an enemy of state (miss st, Arky, or worse Bama)

He deserves top 100 in country status. Without seeing him live and full game I am buying. Let's get him and to hell with Haskins and the other offers.

All in for Franks and Kelly. Top 2 QBs in country.

In my heart if kelly camps he will finish this cycle higher than SP. And will make an all star game.

Very bullish on this kid.

Understood, so the question remains, why offer the los guy before the in state guy when both are equal players.

OOS offers are typically not committable until a formal offer is made at the camp after seeing them perform in person. Like the other poster said OOS kids aren't as inclined to come to your camp without the offer in place. Also some "in state" kids get the same treatment if they aren't considering coming to camp. Like Santos Ramirez from a few classes back. But I guarantee you the Fournettes, Tolivers, and Savion Smith's are 100% committable whether they are in-state or not.

Might not but after watching both films. IMHO LSU or not CK is the better QB.

Don't get me wrong I love the rankings but they aren't the final verdict. They have a huge room for error.

After watching that films could care less what scout rivals espn or 247 says about CK kid is a gamer and I hope he becomes a tiger. I just would like to see the kid get the national attention he deserves and a schollie from the good guys.

I do agree about Cole Kelly, I think he has a higher upside and hope he can come to LSU and get a redshirt year behind him and come then dominate.

Film looks nice, but he would need a RS to learn how to play from under center.

yeah I forgot about that piece. He doesnt take anything from under center. That may take a while to master the drops.

Yeah he's good an may have great upside in college but as a high school QB he's not close to Shea Patterson. SP is a robot at the high school level....cole might have a higher ceiling with the right coaching but he won't end higher than SP in high school.
