2 of the GOAT teams in recent history. Kentucky will be a double digit favorite all the way until at least the final 4. I think I give them the slight edge over UNC. although their tournament run in 09 was one of the most dominating runs you'll ever see. Tough call IMO.

Until proven otherwise, I think 2012 Kentucky is better than this squad right now. But that's only because I'm not sure this squad has reached their potential yet.

And I'd take 2012 Kentucky over 2009 UNC.

I think LSU was the only team to play UNC within single digits in the '09 tourney.....Lawson was nasty during that run, my vote is UNC

only team to play UK tough this year too...

but UK's OOC schedule looked much tougher in the preseason. And the SEC is pretty bad top to bottom.

I've always felt that 05 unc is the best team in the last 10 years, with uk 12 or one of the Florida teams second best.

People also forget that basketball fans got cheated out of possibly an all time great National Championship game in '12.
UNC was the ONLY team that could have given UK a game. Kendall Marshall breaking his wrist in the Sweet 16 ended that potential face-off!! Damn that woulda been a hell of game!

Even if it's a down year across the board, if this UK team goes undefeated they definitely deserve to be in the conversation.

As REG said though, it's premature. Especially when they haven't finished the season.
