Recommend me an oral surgeon in either BR, Gonzales, or Hammond areas

I'm having my front tooth removed and replaced with an implant.
The stipulation for the Dr. I choose is that he/she must take Veterans Affairs payments. Not that any of ya'll would know who takes what payments really. Thanks in advance.

My recommendation depends on whether you're getting a gold tooth or a regular fake tooth

I don't think I could pull off the gold tooth look.

I had some implants done by Dr Skelly Kreller in Hammond. I would highly recommend him. You'll have to have a regular dentist do the crown.

Dr. Bulot at BR Oral Surgery

I work for an oral surgeon...he doesn't accept VA payments but what I can suggest is calling the VA to see who will see you. Will save you tons of time.

David Barnett on Jefferson Highway. He worked on me last year. He's a young guy who took over the practice of one of the old-line BR dentists whose name escapes me at the moment. He's also an MD, BTW. Since he's just starting out chances are that he might accept VA reimbursement.

I wish it worked like that. I've already had plenty discussions with my VA dentist about this.
Thanks for the suggestions folks.

I will say the reason we don't work with the VA anymore is because they took forever to approve our fees and when they did, it took forever to get paid. It's absolutely not fair to the patient!

Dr. David Barnett
What he said. Dr. Barnett is excellent. Professional all around. He removed wisdom teeth from my 3 oldest sons. That was 3 years ago. He's young but not fresh out of school and came highly recommended by our family dentist.

Gremillion in Prairieville is really good. Can't think of his first name.

Excellent doctor. Had two implants done recently with this guy. Great clinic and staff as well.
Not knocking anyone mentioned here, but I'd recommend going with a true oral surgeon, not someone who is only a dentist for an implant. I'd also suggest someone who does a lot of implants, not a few every so often.
