Looking for suggestions for 25th Anniversary Dinner in Baton Rouge.

I'm no high roller, but don't want to be a cheapo either.

Go to Latil's Landing at Houmas House plantation. Get their an hour before your reservation, stroll the grounds and have a cocktail or two in the turtle bar before dinner. Get the tasting menu. Perfect anniversary night, IMO.

Latil's landing at Houmas House. Limited drinks and stay away from the tasting menu and it isn't that expensive of a dinner...

Send the kids to Momma's.....call the Louisiana Culinary Institute, hire a chef to come cook the meal of her dreams at your house and serve you....flowers, champagne, wine, candles, good china and crystal....or, go to Sullivan's.....

Destination restos seem nice, but who wants to drive an hour home after cocktails, dinner, and wine?

How about OxLot 9 and an overnight at the Southern Hotel in Covington? LINK

Houmas House is a great recommendation. They have two restaurants there, Latil's and The Carriage House. Latil's is more expensive, The Carriage House not at all. Get there early, have a drink, you can't beat the ambiance.

I would say no to Sullivan's. The staff there creeps me out.

The Carriage House

Just ate there last weekend and it was very good. It is an incredibly beautiful restaurant and would be perfect for a 25th anniversary celebration. Heck you can stay over at the bed and breakfast.

Maison lacour would be a nice place. It's a hidden gem.
