In your face Sean Patterson Sr.

Q: How do you convince quarterbacks who don't win the starting job not to transfer?
A: "When I recruit quarterbacks now, I can tell a kid that 82 percent of NFL quarterbacks were redshirted or didn't play as a college freshman. So a kid I'm recruiting may say, 'That was them, that doesn't apply to me.'

"I can't think of many of my guys I've coached over the years that if they had to play as true freshmen they would have been worth a darn. What happens is people get too critical of them and it stunts their growth and development.

We only have one more year of Jennings until he's drafted in the first round of the NFL draft
Enjoy it while you can CPT

Great read imo. The part about needing 1 quarterback is funny.

Shocking.

Ignore it?????
It is TRUE! As passionate as we are about our Tigers, we can be very fair weathered with 18 year old kids. We need to let them come to our place of employment and criticize us like we do them, it would be interesting to say the least!

LOL at all the Miles lickers that said the OC deserved blame for JJ ahead of Lee, or AJ ahead of Harris
Our QB struggles are dictated by one Leslie Edwin Miles. He doesn't give a frick what the OC suggests. 10 years of evidence do not lie

what i said was in response to another comment. I think this interview has basically said what a lot of us "sunshine pumpers" have been saying.
Harris wasn't ready because he was kid. Jennings wasn't great. We ran a lot more because we wanted to win and it gave us the best chance we could.

I love the part where wildly obvious facts such as "the HC makes the final decision on the starting QB" are pointed to as indicative of some sort of negative or failure. clearly, neither AJ nor BH was ready to be an all-american last year. so, how is choosing between them a black eye on CLM?
breaking news: it's also been revealed that CLM makes the call on Community Coffee being the standard brand brewed within the football facility. the horror!

That's it in a nutshell. These morons wanted to throw a baby out into the ocean and demand that it float, when people who know the situation, realize that he was not ready. Harris was way in over his head last year. A guy like Harris, you would never see on the field as a true freshman in years' past unless several injuries occurred. He was raw and needed a year or two before getting a start.
Jennings wasn't much better, but he knew the system and was more calm on the field.

If Harris was a kid, Jennings had just started puberty. A year in the system was a huge advantage for Jennings in the spring, yet let's not act like Jennings was seasoned, either.
Both will improve drastically in this offseason. I expect Jennings to remain the starter, because I believe that after two full years with the LSU program, it should be expected that Jennings should be able to lead the offense without a hitch. I don't know that that should be expected of Harris at this point in time, though he should see valuable time off the bench if he continues the reported improvement in his off-field work.

The Rant has more coaching experience than you do Coach Cameron. You obviously have no idea what you're talking about here
