Anyone have news on the lowering of Indian Creek Reservoir to control the hydrilla?

Wait, are you saying you heard something or are you just speculating? I've heard nothing. Only Cotile.

Co workers wife works at the State Park gate. She heard it, and I heard it from one other, probably unreliable, source. Also heard about Cotile. I live close to IC, so just wondering what's up.

If so, points in November will be on fire.
I really thought they had given up on lowering IC.

Thanks, my son is really fired up about the Monday night tournaments this year, and I was hoping it would be later in the yr.

i think they should transplant some manatees. great grass munchers. then harvest them in the fall before the water gets too cold and have a big BBQ.

I thought about this before. Is the cold water all that's stopping this?

And the public outcry when we hang one from a nearby tree to skin it.

Pretty much. They move up into the spring fed rivers here when the water temp drops into the 60s. The springs are a constant 72 so they spend most of their time in that water during our short winters.
Jornconaly, you've seen them on the beach? They typically don't beach themselves because their weight doesn't allow their lungs to expand and they suffocate. That's why when you see them transported they are in slings and are rolled during there time out of the water.
