Last 3:

13.6 PPG
11.0 Rebounds
1 Block

71.4% FG
64.7% FT

He's also looking more like the guy we expected on D.

Thats what happens when you play for 32, 31, 29 minutes instead of the 24, 31.5, 29.5, and 20 minutes in 4 losses.

He looks a little faster, I think that back injury from early in the year lingered for a while. Figuring out the reverse layup seems to have helped him some too.

Yeah, I'll just pretend like I didn't see him take 6.5 steps on that attempted layup.

I'm usually not a huge Monty basher, but am I wrong to worry about how he handles a healthy lineup? Will he run those inexplicable rotations?

With the depth that Dell has added, it will be a lot tougher for Monty to put awful lineups out there when we're healthy. He could have all of the bench players out there: Cole, Reke or Gordon, DC, Ryno, Ajinca. That's pretty damn solid. I think the team next year will be pretty much the same as this year's, maybe minus DC and + an MLE SF.

This version of Asik is worth 8-9 million a year. Let's see if he can continue this down the stretch. Maybe he truly was banged up early in the year and needed the All Star break to recover.

I agree. This is much better depth than what we've been used to. Im shocked how we've been able to get DC, Pondexter, and Cole for basically nothing. And Ajinca has turned into a very good backup Center.

It's frustrating thinking how good this team could be if our players could stay healthy.

Jrue
EG
DC
Davis
Asik

Cole
Tyreke
QuincyP
Ryno
Ajinca.

The post defense on the secondary unit is horrible, but all else aside, thats pretty solid.
We also need to work on getting Ajinca some meat on those bones for next year.

Yea, it would be hard for Monty to put out a terrible lineup, unless he inexplicably plays Jimmer

Those half minutes really add up, huh?

If Dell is gone, a new GM will want to leave his mark.

I'm curious if Williams and Demps were told before the season started that they had to make the playoffs this year to keep their jobs. If that wasn't the case, the Pels will prob win 45ish games and both will keep their jobs. IMO.

Maybe so, but if Dell leaves behind a young team that barely missed the playoffs, a new GM probably isn't going to blow shite up. That would be shooting himself in the foot for the sake of shooting.

The way Babbitt is shooting, he should be included in there somewhere.

A lot depends on who it is. Based on George Karl's comments, I'd expect Tyreke to be on the chopping block had he become coach. Most people assume Dumars would target Greg Monroe. But largely I agree. Really significant changes likely lead to another year out of the playoffs, so I don't see why Loomis/Benson would hire someone that wants to blow it all up.
