By that, I mean cocktails your average drinker or bartender at a local bar couldn't make that have ingredients you've never heard of. I never really have but I've had two unique experiences recently so I'm going to be more adventurous.

2 different bars that we've been going to recently specialize in cocktails (I'm more of a beer guy) so I've been branching out

Quite often if the cocktail sounds interesting enough and I trust the place to make it right. Really been digging drinks with some absinthe in them.

I'm trying to post a pic i took on my phone a month ago of the restaurant I went to in Chicago. There was a bar I also really wanted to go to but my clothes weren't nice enough that had high tech methods of making cocktails. Good thing I couldn't get in though. Turns out every drink was like 20-30 a pop.

Pretty often.

I go to Stones Throw, Anvil, and Julep fairly regularly and always dabble in new things.

All the time. I'm known to make Ramos Gin Fizzes, Sazeracs, Moscow Mules, etc at home. I have an absinthe fountain too.

What do you mean by this?

I get a unique cocktail anywhere that is known for unique cocktails (Olive or Twist in BR.. Cure in NOLA..), but I would never request some really strange cocktail at a regular bar.

There's a bar here in LC called heist that does a seasonal specialty cocktail menu. I usually try a couple when I go.

I drink at craft cocktails bars or microbreweries for the most part. A sazerac is my goto, though, which isn't really "adventurous."

Vieux Carre are my go to. Still thinking about this basil gemlet? that I had in the Denver airport. So good.

I love love love coupe glasses.

I am a glassware lover in general, but I've been really wanting a set.

Generally, my favorite cocktails are gin-based, but lately I've been liking tequila-based cocktails as well. I'm just a big fan of refreshing flavors.. lime, mint, other herbs, etc. I can't do robust fruity drinks.
