GS is 43-10 on the back of Steph Curry baw

That is Curry's to lose unless they falter down the stretch or he gets hurt

If OKC sees a rapid rise through the WC standings with Durant out, Westbrook is going to have a big say in who wins MVP

And if Cleveland keeps playing ball and catches ATL, LBJ could be in line for another MVP

shite Harden was 4th in line for MVP until AD23 went down

When you've got guys like Simmons, Lowe, etc saying you've got their vote I think you're probably in the lead. Davis was never ahead of harden. Pels were never gonna make the playoffs and MVP won't ever come from a non playoff team. It's out of harden and curry right now. Curry has more help than harden.

Harden is no question the MVP as of today. Yes, there is a lot of basketball left.

But with how much time Howard has missed, can you imagine how bad Houston would be without the Beard this year?

Having to overcome Josh Smith is more than any player should have to bear.

The fact that he is in the conversation is pretty much the theme of this thread. We have all said some stupid things on here over the years. I think the James Harden and Zach Randolph threads stand out so much because of how so many people were acting like they were the worst moves ever.

You mean Curry, right? His team has 10 losses

That's a team full of role players outside of Klay Thompson. Can you imagine their record without Curry?

idk

Rocket fans have been lauding their team's depth all season, especially after acquiring Josh Smith. Now it's a one man show "They go 10 deep" is all we heard around Christmas time.

Josh Smith in Feb:

15 ppg / 49% fg / 44% from 3 / 7.5 reb / 3.75 assists / 1.4 blocks

he's been great, should get some 6th man of the year votes IMO.

Slow down there man.

Also, if you're going to cherry pick February's stats, then Westbrook is likely your MVP leader. Averaged like 30/10/9 on almost 50% from the field with Durant out a bunch.

I could go back further and they wouldn't fall off much tbh. Only the 3 pt %.

He's shooting 45% since he came to HOU.

There's nobody this year who's making a super strong case for 6th man. Crawford isn't having his best year, Anderson has been bad. Ginobili? NAw JR Smith? Naw. Maybe Isaih thomas? The trade may hurt him.

You can't just look at his stats with Houston. Look at his stats on the season, he's been bad.

Response to a thread about who would get traded between Harden and Ibaka. Had to rub it in

He's played more games with Houston than he has with Detroit and hasn't been anywhere near "bad" in Houston. By year's end he will have played 2/3 of the season with Houston.

12.5 pts
6.6 reb
41.8% fg
32.5% 3fg
45.6% ft

Maybe he can raise those shooting stats by the end of the season, but that's what they look like now.

IT has been better.

He's not playing starter's minutes. His PER 36 numbers are comparable with what he was doing in ATL.

Maybe Thomas has been better, that won't stop Smith from getting some votes. Who else out there has been leaps and bounds better than Smith as a 6th man?

I didn't say he would be a bust as a starter, but I did say he was overrated. So I'm eating a small helping of crow.
