re: The Voice--Season 8 thread

New rounds start next week. Skip what you have taped and start watching those. I hate saying that because I love reading your reviews, but there were only a few standout battles in my opinion. They skipped over some of them, as usual, so it wasn't even complete.

I would add Hannah v Sarah doing Gimme Shelter. I loved that one. All 4 coaches gave them a standing o.

I hate that the Philly street performer left as well. He had great potential and was a front-runner in my book.

Sawyer's talent level is scientifically classified as "insane". I'm contemplating purchasing his cover of "Man of Constant Sorrow" from the premiere.

While the Lafy guy was good, the song choice wasn't good for going up against Meghan's "Natural Woman". That was a monster performance.

I was impressed with Mia Z's high end, but she sings in so much of that fricking baby voice that I can't understand what the hell she's saying. Why Pharrell hasn't had her drop that yet, I don't know.

Here's an article on Anthony Riley. Not very newsy, but he was tweeting up until March 17th and surely the knock outs were already over at that time, so he would have left some time ago, I would suppose. Looking at his twitter from some weeks ago, he acted like he was still in it. Strange.
