The way I did it made my attacking power suffer so if I had to go back I'd do it a little differently but as soon as I was able to, I leveled Health and stamina up to 20. Everything else suffered pretty badly though. The way you're doing it seems to be good.

Just did it. I wasn't thinking. I figured everyone had played it by now so I just assumed the OP had until I went back and read his post again. I hope he didn't see it

If you're saiayn, I think an effective build is to focus on ultimately and Ki. Put a few points to make up for low health as well. This will at least make it easier to get through the story and PQs. My strategy right now is to get to SSJ form as quickly as I can in the beginning of the fight and then use Instant transmission followed by final flash.

So just to get a gauge of whether I'm playing too fast or too slow, I was level 11 when I decided to go on the time quest post-Raditz. I fought the saibamen, nappa, and vegeta and beat them all with relative ease. Still can't do well in the offline battles. That pretty normal?

I still suck at dodging, but putting lots of points toward stamina and health is helping me survive.

I would recommend playing through the story as far as possible until you hit a battle that you can't beat.

At that point focus on parallel quests to level up. A few points in health and stamina are fine for surviving, but you'll need to start causing more and more damage to get through battles. Try to save your money to buy gear that supports your build. Also make sure you have a mentor at all times. The skills you learn early on are very helpful.

Some of these side missions are impossible. Goten asked me to go train with a bunch of them. First fight was him and kid trunks. Second was teen trunks and Vegeta. Impossible. One attacks and immediately the other does. I got in maybe 3 attacks before dying. Didn't even have enough time to use energy capsule.

Train, train and train again with your mentor. I was around level 30 when I tried the Majin Buu saga in the Time Scrolls story line and couldn't do anything. I trained with Vegeta for a while, leveled up to level 43 then went back to the mission. Didn't dominate but it was noticeably easier once I had leveled up and boosted my skills. It's the same way with Parallel Quests.

Vegeta is a great mentor. He's incredibly hard to train with at times but if you beat him the payouts in money and experience are worth it. Plus I think Final Flash is the best ultimate in the game.

How do you train with the mentor? I passed the first with piccolo by just talking to him and he accepted. After that, if I talk to him he just says the same thing.

You just have to level up and he'll offer another challenge.

Is that what you are asking? If not, I don't know how to train with my mentor either.

Take your mentor on Parallel Quests with you and level up.

Oh I've been training. I'm like level 40 or so.

Try the Goten side mission. You will break a controller
