I went for lunch today and it was fantastic...

We had the 3 piece sampler of baba ganoush, tabouleh and ikra.. also the soft cooked egg hummus w/red onion, pickles and harissa... the pita bread out of the wood fired oven was great..

The sandwiches we had were.. Jerusalem Mixed Grill with chicken livers and hearts, veal sweetbreads, grilled scallions & the Chicken Schnitzel with sesame challah, harissa mayonnaise, shaved pickles

way too much food! looking forward to going back for dinner..

How were the prices?

Food sounds amazing. Lent sucks, but makes me better.

we didn't have any booze and the bill was $45... the sandwiches came with fries or a salad... it was way too much food too

The oven is kinda in the back of the dinig room, right before you walk out on the back patio... guess they didn't have room in the kitchen..

edit: the 3 piece sampler was $9, then it think it went up 5 for $15, etc..

Went earlier this week....pickles, labna, lutenitsa, lamb kebab, hummus w soft egg/pickles. Everything was great, lutenitsa was standout. We couldn't finish everything because the hot from the oven pita is irresistible, and we hovered up quite a bit of it.

My grandmother would say it's between the A and the T.

Sounds like my kind of food. I look forward to trying it next trip down.

When we went after Bacchus, Alon was manning the oven. I was so upset over finding out that the chicken liver dish and the sweetbreads are lunchtime only the server brought him out to apologize. His suggestions on what to order were really good, and the posts about filling up on those hot pitas are spot on. I WILL be back at lunch to get my fix of innards. Too bad all the beers I left got shipped to Texas. I feel so used.

Traded. The return is where the payoff comes.

When the box comes you can make a return trip and I'll fill your innards.
