$6000 is not worth it for my place, but that's a hell of a trap, and has huge potential

That's a neat concept for sure. What about disposal of all those carcasses, though? Isn't it against the law to just leave them out in the open for the varmints and buzzards to clean up? That's a lot of hogs to butcher and put up. Animal control would bust me big time if I left them out to rot and feed the buzzards up here. Just wondering how you folks with a big hog problem get rid of all those dead hogs. I guess if you had your own backhoe and 1000 acres...

We got a lot of buzzards that wouldn't take long to get rid of them small ones if they can keep the yotes & opossums off of them
I also have a creek that runs through my land that I can feed the turtles
They should be good & fat from the yotes throwed in there

Looks like on of those small pigs almost made it out on the left but got smashed.

No problems here in Louisiana. One can leave them out to rot. Big boars feed buzzards here.

Pigs are smart, though - they're going to figure that one out after the second group gets it.

Can you get $6000 of bacon out of 2 decent sized groups?

I guess you can move it, but man, that is a nice trap.

The thing for me is (and I didn't watch the entire video) mobility. I've got a trap that works ok. That system seems to be more effective than mine, but how does one move that thing around. You have to be able to move it around to even be worth my time.

Probably comes apart in pieces and has nice big bolts to lock it all together.

I'm thinking that buying one then renting it out is the way to go

OB splits one. Rents it out. We bring customers with ARs and open the trap for ensuing bloodbath. Profit.

You don't even need to rent it out.

You sell your services and use the trap, operate it and you catch the hogs.

More $$$.

Do the service where you trap them, then turn around and sell the meat to one of those goofy dog biscuit making companies.

I agree. Way to expensive. I could make one of those myself for a lot cheaper. With smart phones, live camera feed, and a WeMo it really is not difficult at all to make one.
