And USC has done it a couple of times. We pulled 2 good prospects in Jennings and Rettig. It happens but also what happens is that one leaves. The odds of one sticking and being productive is better when you take 2 so I see no issue with it but this is LSU and we don't exactly have a glowing reputation with QBs lately. That said we will get 2 if Cameron wants 2, one just will not be Patterson. Likely an instate kid.

He didn't see himself playing at LSU because he knows he cannot beat out Franks for the position ever since the two worked out side by side at a camp at LSU

Could be true. They saw each other up close and personal. Franks never blinked or waivered. Patterson did. Let just say Patterson did nor scare Franks.

At Ole Piss Patterson is the big man on campus. At LSU a 6'6" 220 lb Cyborg with a howitzer is staring him down. Easy decision for him.

Have to let this play out before proclaiming a champion.

Let's see who brings it.

Yeah he will be the most hated senior in louisiana next year

Hated by whom?
I suspect 99.9% of the players, coaches, and referees don't visit the Rant, and don't care where a young man decides is best for him.
There seems to be as many posters who didn't want him, thought he had a weak arm, etc as thought that he was a prospect.
I hope Franks is the answer. I don't worry about who didn't commit. If Franks can play then we should beat Ole Miss every year. We certainly have better talent and better depth at most positions.

LSU is 3-3 versus Archie and Eli. I am certainly not sweating this Patterson fella.

That said, the people of Louisiana will boo him for his decision and I am perfectly okay with that. He and his brother made their bed.

Not quite an apostate, but close.

FWIW Calvary has only had 4 quarterbacks come out of the school since it opened it's doors lol and only 1 signed to play college at the next level. So use evangel instead cause Calvary is relatively new. Also Calvary runs almost the exact same offense ole miss runs....just not as complex. Anyways the only time he will be booed is when he plays in tiger stadium...just cause a kid commits somewhere doesn't mean everyone else shuns him. Cam Robinson signed with our biggest rival and the kid is superstar when he comes in town. He might grab a few recruits but don't believe it'll be any big recruits LSU is after.

The young man wanted to go somewhere besides LSU as did Cam, Landon and others. It stings a little because we have not pulled a stud QB recruiting {not counting Mett} in a while.

Time will tell if he is good or not and no one knows today who the stud QB's out of this class will be. It may well be Franks, who on this board would have guessed Dak would have turned out so good.

Time will tell

Let me fix that quote for him

"LSU just cleaned out my brother's office so I didn't feel like it was a good fit for me"

Tennessee pulled in the #6 and #7 dual threat QBs, plus the #12 pro style QB in the composite (that's three 4 star QBs). 247sports itself, had them rated 5th, 8th, and 8th, respectively. If you look it up, they brought in 3 of the top of 19 QBs in the country based on the composite, and 2 were in the top 13 QBs. USC brought in 2 of top 12.

shite, we should be able to bring in 2 of the top 20 with how small our depth chart is.
