Is this a real thread? Or do we really have that many 17 years olds in 1998 around here?

What does this even mean?

Considering his forum name, I'm not sure how he's lived this long, let alone post thousands of posts without someone wondering how he gets oxygen

I love when people bash something as subjective as music.

I've never seen a band rustle the jimmies of music snobs as much as DMB. It really is something to see.

LS is great because it's a more laid back, jazzy type performance

Buddy of mine found the double live CD with "Angel from Montgomery"

Roseland Ballroom 1995.

So I've got three pretty cool DMB live CD's headed this way

I wore out Live in Central Park when I was in jh/hs. Loved that album. I am going to try and find a download for it.

That is the one that has the Cortez with Warren, right?

Yes, and it's really good. But check out the version from 7/31/10 if you can. Blows CP away. I'm trying to find a youtube now...

ETA: fanshot, but decent audio quality Cortez the Killer

Right, it has a different sound than the others.

More of a jazzy vibe.

Love that album.

They came today.

My friend's wife reproduced the album artwork and interior sleeves and put them in jewel cases for me I forgot how young they looked then

Hell yeah

Live in Chicago (United Center) '98
Live at Red Rocks '95
Live at Luther College

The Chicago concert is their best live album IMO. Specifically, check out What Would You Say, #41, Rapunzel, Stay (Wasting Time), The Last Stop, etc. Great versions of the songs with guests like Maceo Parker and Victor Wooten. Love it.

Funny, the liner notes have "Angel from Montgomery" listed as "Make Me an Angel" :P

No wonder I had the name of the song wrong for years :)

Even though Boyd had to redo his solo for the release, that is one of my favorite Lie In Our Graves
