LSU has a couple of quality players who could go early this year.

Kwon Alexander( 6 ft 1 3/4, 227 lbs.
Pros-
Great athletiscm in open field.
Good open field tackler.
adept at shedding blocks, making plays
Cons-
Does not have great size.
gets overpowered at times.

I honestly think he can be a 2nd rounder with a strong week at indy. Not much different from him and PJ dawson, and Shaq Thompson who are projected higher than him.

Good first post Welcome! I think Kwon's greatest asset is his heart. Third round steal.

Kwon is going to be great wherever he goes. Ball is life for him.

FIFY. He's one of the few the last couple of years who had something to gain by coming back.

Absolutely no way he falls to the seventh. His size may keep him out of the early rounds, but he's a solid 3rd or 4th rounder with potential to go higher. His decision was to gamble his already injury prone body against jumping into the second, which may have never happened at his size. As much as I hate it, he made the right call.

I will be surprised if he goes before the 5th round.

If that height and weight end up being close to accurate, he'll be about 10 pounds lighter than most of the leading tacklers in the NFL from last season. And pretty close on height.

9 of 10 were LBs, and all but one were drafted 3rd round or earlier.

Should have stayed.
Heart works in college and high school.
Not the NFL.

He's going to be in good shape if these are accurate. Really don't think they will though. Hope it works out for him, but not thinking he makes it earlier than the 5th.

I think as long as the weight is there if he comes in 6' or taller, he'll be ok. If he impresses in the drills he could definitely lock himself in to Round 3.

Teams really do seem to be going towards taller OLBs, and I don't know if he has the frame to 15 pounds and play ILB.

He's gonna be a player drafted in the mid rounds but outplays his draft status. He's a really good football player.

Hell no. Their isnt 1 starting lb in the nfl that weighs below 230. There are safeties bigger than him.
He has around a 4th rd grade. If he can gain 15 lbs of muscle and keep his 4.6 speed, he can be really good.

CJ Mosley was a 1st round pick and Pro Bowler as a rookie. He's 6'2 235lbs

DeAndre Levy was 2nd in the NFL in tackles. He's 6'2 235lbs.

LaVonte David was 3rd in the NFL in tackles. He's 6'1 233lbs.

That's 3 of the best LBers in the NFL with similar size of Kwon The NFL is changing. You don't need a 6'4 250lbs LBers now a days. It's such a speed and finesse game now a days that you need LBers that can play sideline to sideline and keep up with the offensive players. And Kwon can do that. He has great speed and is a sure tackler and is a natural linebacker with very good instincs. No I don't think he's a 2nd rounder. But I wouldn't be surprised if someone takes him 3rd round. And he's going to outperform his draft status anyways.

Strikes me as a guy that will play much better than he did in the pros than at college.

If nothing else, he should make a name for himself on special teams.

Disagree with that. Kwon is not a first rounder, may not go in second round, but he is a steal in the 3-4 round.

I could not disagree more. He had nothing at all to gain by coming back. He's been our best defensive player the last 2 years--there's plenty of film on him. Dude is just a great football player. His size is his only knock, and he ain't getting any taller coming back. He's already had one devastating knee injury. I would have selfishly loved for him to come back, but you're gonna have make a case for exactly how he could have improved his stock by coming back.

That isn't saying much.

Wouldnt say great. He was ok, but i think his impact is grossly overstated. Whenever i focused on him, he took bad angles and overran plays, leading to missed tackles.

I thought Lamin Barrow had a better Junior (regressed a little as a Sr) year and ended up being a 5th Rd guy. 6'1 237 with a good combine.
