This is an appreciation for photography thread. I'm not much of a photographer, but I enjoy taking photos of things I don't get to experience every day. Feel free to post any photos you've recently taken or have enjoyed viewing. They could be from home, vacation, Mardi Gras, etc.

Here's some photos I took the past several days in Colorado.

View from Crested Butte

Driving between mountain ranges yesterday in the valley, winds were strong and blowing snow from the mountains onto the road. Can be seen at the bottom of the road

Even with snow drift barriers on the side of the road, it felt like we were in a blizzard with ice/snow/wind. Wind was around 40 mph consistently. Road was shut down right after we got through.

Nice sunset

Out of the valley, almost dark

Yeah, I thought they turned out okay but I apologize for that... There's only so much a photo can capture (especially with a cell phone) versus what you're actually viewing.

agreed. such snobs that post here.

I was going to post a few of my photography skills pics, but I saw people right click on others pics here yesterday and they were able to tell them their middle name and pube hair color afterwards. So I'll pass.

If people here are that obsessed about trying to figure out who you are, there's something wrong.

Took this with my phone of the Clearwater Beach pier a few weeks ago. Not perfect but I like it. Those two stars make the shot IMO.

For sure.

That's a nice photo with a cell phone. Not sure I'd be able to pull that off with mine.

iPhone 6+ camera is nice.

I know you aren't supposed to chop stuff off in the frame but I think I like the shed on the side.
