Honest question begs an honest answer. Given what you saw in 2007, what was your expectation for Perrilloux in 2008 had he stayed on the team?

Exceptional talent! Dude fricked his career up. Despite Mile's inabilty to coach a QB up this kid had the talent to take LSU to another NC. Would have been the best LSU QB under Miles if he had stayed. Dude was just a smooth player. A rocket arm(not quite as pwerful as Mettenberger, but stii strong) and dude threw tight arse spirals. Just pissed me off what he could have done.

Mett I would not be considered "developed" under Cameron
neither would I consider Russell
"developed" under current regimen...

Flynn is about the only one they get credit for and the rest are crap

Why not? He was definitely not a finished product in 2012 and then really turned into something under Cameron in 2013. That's development.

they haven't had a QB of Pattersons talent so to say he won't develop at Ole Miss is just kind of silly. If I were in his shoes I would be more worried about how we utilize our QB's at LSU than I would be at Ole Miss. They may not win any championships but he is at least assured they will make the most of his talents, same can't be said with any kind of certainty that that would happen at LSU.

and how is that assured at Ole Miss?

I know LSU has struggled at the QB position. That is obvious. But what has Ole Miss done at the QB position?

they do a whole lot more on offense. They let the QB play.

they haven't had any real talent at the QB position in quite a while, that changes with Patterson.

He developed at UGA and JUCO, I think LSU changed the play calling more to suit Mett more than Mett developed. Was their some development, of course, but majority of his development came elsewhere imo.

I don't know how anyone could say that? Did you see him play at UGA? JUCO?

He very obviously improved throughout his 2 years as starting QB at LSU

He went through spring practices as a freshman. He didn't play in games with Georgia. I don't think you can really say he had that much development there.

Valid argument here though, I think.

Not at UGA but I was able to watch him in JUCO live for one game and then via Youtube once he decided to come to LSU.
Personally I think if the LSU offense would have adapted to his skills sooner then Mett would have had two fabulous years at LSU rather than one.

Majority of QB development coming from HS to college takes place outside of the games imo

I'll assume this is your answer then. So what of Brandon Harris and Feleipe Franks? If they turn LSU into champions and themselves into NFL picks, will you say the same?

IMO honest opinion Cameron is a great X and O's type of guy but he is not the one to "develop" a QB and mold him. He leaves that to his position coach which is fine some of the time but the sophisticated system he runs he needs to be more hands on. Now do I know this for 100% no, because like many I am not with the program, just going by what I see on Saturdays.

they adapted to his skills fine in 2012

he just wasn't mentally ready

something clicked in the Bama game that year

like I said...progression, improvement, development...whatever

anybody without an agenda could see Mett improved throughout his career at LSU
