First a bit of background. My daughter (6 yrs old) is playing her first year of basketball. She has no clue what she's doing but is having fun anyway. The coach on her team is a mom who also has a girl on the team. This past Saturday they won their first game (bringing their record to 1-2) and later that same day, the team coach posted a video of the team (remember these are all 6 & 7 yr old girls) celebrating and dancing right after the game. Below the video she wrote.....

quote:

"Great job girls on the first win! We popped our cherry!"

How would you react to this if your kid's coach said something like this?

Coach is a lesbian - nothing new for women's basketball.

That's definitely in poor judgment to post. Wouldn't be happy.

my 6 year old is not on facebook, so I wouldn't care. Not a big deal IMO.

I'd let me daughter continue to practice and play as long as I or her mother was present.

She wouldn't be attending any sleep overs the dyke errr coaches house.

She is now since the dumb-arse coach posted a video of her dancing with that caption beneath it.

Agreed. Therefore, we should all think it was inappropriate.

Mom/coach sounds trashy and it's prob an inside joke amongst the team that's inappropriate in a public setting/forum like Facebook. I'd talk to my daughter about it and what she thought.

With that said, I'd be more upset on a different level if it were a male coach and prob bring it up with him.

You think coach didn't say that in post-game by chance?

Scruffy wouldn't care for multiple reasons.

1. Facebook is dumb.

2. 6 yo isn't in Facebook.

3. Everyone will forget about this next week.

4. Facebook is dumb.
