anyone have recommendations for a decent golf course in the new orleans area for an amateur group of four? we're playing on a friday and we don't want to be hounded for going too slowly. that's not saying we're going to take our time playing. also, drinking should be do-able.

Scramble on a Friday? You will be playing slower than almost everyone and should expect to be hounded for going too slowly. Sorry.

i don't get why scramble on friday is a problem? we can all keep it on the fairway, but playing scramble will make our group go faster.

Scrambles are slower unless you are slow in regular play. Fridays are crowded. Good luck.

Joe Bartholomew park, since it will be a little cool the brothers won't be out in the 'hood.
Seriously, TPC, English Turn, Lakewood, Audubon are all good choices. And at TPC and Audubon slower play is no issue since they're always backed up.

wow, haha.. we won't be running ourselves over (no promises). we aren't nearly that bad. we may have to consider not doing scramble then. sounds like either city park or audubon. i don't know if we're good enough to not anger some people at these other courses. thanks for the feedback OT.
