oh, and just so I can bump my chest and act all cool like I did last year: I have never celebrated V-Day with my wife, not when we were dating, engaged, or now, she finds the whole thing to be stupid. Same reason we don't exchange gifts at Christmas "why would I buy you a gift, and you me, when both of us are going to get each other things we probably didn't want anyways, and we could spend the money on more productive things?!"

I really have no issue with stout. He's generally pretty cool and I've received a few free games from him. Not sure why he reacted the way he did the other night, but I guess it turned out to be good fun.
I did call him a miserable shite or something, but that was pretty reactionary.

We're on budget mode for the time being, so not spending money unnecessarily is appreciated. I can still surprise her with chocolate and a card or something else and I'm golden.

Next gen stagnation
I agree with a lot of points he makes in this video. This generation has been all about better visuals so far with not much difference with gameplay. I feel like this happened last gen too although I didn't game as much then to remember.

he makes a lot of really good points, and for those of us that have moved towards the PC side of things, it's why we want a WiiU, and not a ps4 or xbone

i've always skewed towards the PC side of things. Outside of the Wii U, the only reasons I have an xbone and ps4 is because I have friends that refuse to get a pc or hate playing on pc. But, outside of Destiny, I find the games lacking on xbox/ps4.

The AAA scene is more about innovating graphics at this point it seems. The indie scene is more about innovating gameplay.
